Ray had two months to get ready for our trial. He successfully got an amended statute applied retroactively to our case (allowing us to recover attorney fees along with damages) and succeeded in winning the second time around when they appealed. The new trial was scheduled for a year out. Once again, Ray was ready and very excited about taking this to trial. I got cold feet a couple of weeks before trial and told Ray I wanted to settle it out of court. He admitted that he was disappointed but respected my wishes. He asked me to not take the first offer and he would do his best to get us an acceptable offer.
