Ray Dearie is the principal lawyer at the Dearie Law Group in Seattle. Born and raised in New York City, Ray found his way out West during and after college where he worked in some of our Nation’s glorious national parks, including Glacier Bay National Park in Alaska, Mount Rainier National Park, Death Valley National Park, and Yellowstone National Park. Through his westerly journeys, Ray received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Montana in 1997 (Law Review). Following law school, Ray clerked for Chief Judge Fred Scullin in United States District Court (New York). Following his clerkship, Ray moved to Seattle.

After moving to Seattle, Ray worked as a deputy prosecuting attorney for the Snohomish County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. Ray was named Prosecutor of the Year in 2002-2003.  This means he’s had a lot of trial experience—and unlike many attorneys, he’s not afraid to go to trial. After leaving the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, Ray trained at big law firms, so he knows how they think, how they do business, and how to beat them.

This is exemplified by Ray’s jury verdicts, which include a Washington State record wrongful death jury verdict of $130,000,000, $21,000,000 for a pedestrian hit by a car while crossing the street, a Washington State record slip and fall jury verdict of $13,100,000, $14,700,000 for a car crash victim, $8,000,000 for two child sexual abuse victims , and $6,100,000 for a slip and fall in an icy parking lot.  Of course, Ray has also been the architect of numerous settlements ranging from hundreds of thousands to tens of millions of dollars.

Ray’s results have earned him several recognitions beyond Prosecutor of the Year.  For example, Ray was named the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) Trial Lawyer of the Year in 2023, and was elected to the Damage Attorneys Round Table – an invitation only group comprised of Washington’s top 35 Trial Lawyers – in 2025.

Drew Lombardi is an Associate Attorney at the Dearie Law Group.  Since joining the Dearie Law Group, Drew has taken on a significant role in multiple trials resulting in favorable verdicts for Dearie Law Group clients, such as:

• A record-setting $130 million wrongful death jury verdict against the State of Washington’s DCYF
• A $21 million jury verdict for a victim of a pedestrian versus motor vehicle crash who sustained a traumatic brain injury;
• A $13.1 million jury verdict for a slip-and-fall victim, the highest slip and fall verdict recorded in Jury Verdicts Northwest’s verdict reporter;
• A $14.7 million jury verdict for a car crash victim who sustained a broken hip and sciatic nerve injury; and
• A $3 million verdict for a child sexual abuse victim against the State of Washington for failure to make a mandatory report.

Drew has also taken a lead role in several cases that led to favorable pre-trial settlements for Dearie Law Group clients, including a $15 million settlement for an insurance company’s failure it pay its UIM limits, a $6 million settlement for wrongful death caused by medical malpractice, a $6 million settlement for workplace finger amputations, a multi-million dollar policy limits settlement for an elderly trip and fall victim who sustained facial fractures, and a $1.1 million settlement for a head-on car crash victim who sustained an ankle fracture, among many other settlements ranging from hundreds of thousands to millions of dollars.

Before joining the Dearie Law Group, Drew worked at a large corporate defense firm in Seattle where he specialized in semi-truck accidents and defended companies ranging from the Fortune 100 to sole proprietorships. The training and experience he received in that role was central to his development as a young attorney. But something was missing – representing corporate behemoths and their insurance companies that consistently work to evade liability or pay an injured person as little as possible was unfulfilling. So, Drew left the comfort of his corporate defense job and joined the Dearie Law Group in 2022.

Drew joined the Dearie Law Group because he wanted to serve the community where he was born and raised. He has a deep appreciation for his role assisting and fighting for people who have been injured by the negligence of others. Drew is passionate about his clients and their cases, and he takes a collaborative approach to each case.

Drew grew up in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle before attending Gonzaga University. After graduating magna cum laude from Gonzaga, Drew attended the University of Washington School of Law where he graduated with Honors. During law school, Drew was selected to the Moot Court Honor Board as a recognition of his outstanding mock trial performance for both local and national mock trial teams. He also honed his court skills at the UW Law Tulalip Tribal Court Public Defense Clinic, where he represented tribal members facing criminal prosecution.

In his free time, Drew enjoys skiing, cooking, and Seattle Mariners baseball.

Aaron Dean serves as Of Counsel at the Dearie Law Group, bringing nearly 30 years of trial experience to the firm.  Over the course of his career, he has tried cases to verdict in State, District, and Tribal courts throughout Washington, earning a reputation as a seasoned and effective advocate.

Before joining Dearie Law Group, Aaron focused primarily on defending high-stakes cases involving catastrophic injuries and substantial damages.  That experience gave him a deep understanding of the tactics and strategies employed by large companies and their insurers, providing him with a distinct strategic advantage in anticipating and countering those defenses on behalf of his clients.

Born and raised in Washington, Aaron brings both deep local roots and a strong work ethic to his practice.  Before becoming an attorney, he worked in the fields and lumber yards, experiences that shaped his appreciation for hard work and perseverance.  He lives in Edmonds, Washington, with his wife and two children.

Natalie has enjoyed working with business and commercial real estate owners, developers, and investors throughout her career. With over 25 years of experience working in Washington real estate law, she has experience in nearly every aspect of commercial real estate transactions including limited liability entity selection and formation, property acquisition, 1031 exchanges, financing, development, and leasing. Prior to joining Dearie Law Group in 2010, Natalie practiced for many years in mid-sized Seattle firms, where she provided strategic business and legal advice on broad real estate and business issues. She was named a Super Lawyers Rising Star from 2004-2010, and still holds a Preeminent AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the highest possible rating from the renowned peer review rating system recognizing lawyers for their legal ability and ethical standards.

Natalie is licensed with the Washington and Montana Bar Associations. She graduated from the University of Montana School of Law in 1997 and received her BA from the University of Washington in 1994.

Natalie lives with her husband and three busy children in Seattle. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, traveling, and can most frequently be found enjoying her children’s sports and other activities.

Jade is the Dearie Law Group’s Paralegal, working on all aspects of our client’s cases from client communications to drafting documents. Jade enjoys the variety that comes with her role at DLG, especially meeting new clients and helping them get started on their cases.

Jade received her BA from San Diego State University. She then attended the University of San Diego School of Law’s well-regarded Paralegal Program.  While attending USD Law’s Paralegal Program, Jade earned a prestigious internship at the Legal Aid Society of San Diego, one of the largest and most established providers of legal aid in California. There, she assisted clients and attorneys with a wide variety of litigation cases in both state and federal courts.

After graduation, Jade spent four years at a regional (Southwest) consumer protection law firm, where she helped advance the rights of consumers against corporate wrongdoers and their insurance companies. She then moved to Seattle and joined the Dearie Law Group in 2019.

Jade lives in Shoreline, Washington with her husband and two children.

As Dearie Law Group’s Technical Coordinator, Adrian is responsible for maintaining the firms IT development and all trial technologies.

Adrian started his legal career in 2007 as an administrator for a medical malpractice firm. Finding a passion for helping those who could not help themselves, he continued to focus on medical malpractice, furthering his legal education to become a paralegal and legal assistant.

Adrian joined Dearie Law Group in 2015 where he was given the opportunity to not only use his legal skills, but also technology skills, to help the DLG team and their clients.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Adrian was given the opportunity to use the skills he acquired throughout his legal career to form his own legal technology company, Vivid Trials. Through Vivid Trials, Adrian is able to continue his work at Dearie Law Group while also assisting other firms in Western Washington.
